Privacy policy: ChatGPT vs Claude
I compared privacy policies, and this is what I found:
1. Claude is so much better.
ChatGPT trains on user data by default.
Claude does not.
ChatGPT may retain data indefinitely.
Claude automatically deletes data after 30 days.
ChatGPT only allows deleting personal info from specific chats.
Claude allows deleting entire chats.
2. Chatbots can work great even without data greediness.
Excuses that companies have to collect user data to make their products work well are just that: Excuses.
